Town History Series 2024, West Bath: The New Meadows Inn Through the Years 10:30 AM Patten Free Library , Bath Liz Armstrong’s family owned and operated New Meadows Inn on State Road in West Bath from the early 1940s to the early 2000s. An earlier New Meadows Inn was founded by the Cahill family in the late 1800s and burned down in the early 1930s. Liz will talk about both Inns but focus more on her father Dick Armstrong’s and grandfather’s experiences operating the business in West Bath.

The Town History Series is a long-standing Patten Free Lib rary tradition that brings together Patten Free Library’s member communities to learn about and celebrate each town’s local history. The town of Arrowsic, Bath Historical Society, Georgetown Historical Society, West Bath Historical Society, and Woolwich Historical Society each select a speaker to present on an aspect of their local history.
