Free film screenings in Brunswick's Nathaniel Davis Park in July and August have been announced by the NorthWest Brunswick Neighborhood Association (NWBNA).

 "Third Thursday Movies in the Park" will take place on July 19 and August 16, with raindates for each the following Sundays (July 22 and August 19). Movies will begin at dusk. The July film will be Captain America (PG version); in August the film will be Dolphin Tale. Concessions will offer snacks and drinks, picnicking is encouraged.

 "Davis Park is a natural amphitheater with trees on three sides. It's a lovely setting for outdoor movie watching." said Louise Rosen, NWBNA member who together with NWBNA board member Laura Lienert has organized the screenings. Said Lienert, "The park is one of the hidden treasures of Brunswick, perfect for free, family fun on a summer night."

 "Movies in the Park" is a collaboration with Brunswick Parks & Recreation Department, with major funding from The Gelato Fiasco, which is also providing a concession at the screenings. Further support has come from Frontier Cafe & Cinema, The Inn at Brunswick Station, El Camino Cantina, a grant from the Nathaniel Davis Fund and other local businesses and individuals.
