5 Steps to Business Freedom

 Business owners have a greater chance of success if they understand the path a typical business goes through to reach the ultimate financial freedom stage, the “pot of gold”. This Business Success Seminar is FREE and open to all Chamber members as well as the public.

The 5 Steps to Rapid Growth and Profits are characterized by a logical progression of business growth and development. Each presents its own set of challenges and milestones. However, once conquered, each takes the business to the next level.

Successful businesses rise through these 5 Steps as they evolve and mature in their market. Moving through the Steps can be challenging. In times of prosperity, business owners can take comfort in smooth, linear transitions from one growth stage to the next. However, during a volatile, economic recession like the one we’re in, business owners who have worked hard to achieve success may be disoriented by unexpected setbacks. This can oftentimes prevent growth and push business owners back a step or two.

 Specifically, the 5 Steps to Business Freedom are:

 Step 1: Irrelevance - unknown entity in the marketplace, developing and fine tuning the strategic plan, the business plan, the initial marketing plan, and a breakeven plan.

 Step 2: Chaos - challenging times, investing to build brand awareness, finding first customers, difficult to measure performance metrics, more cash flowing out than in, focus on tight financial management and aggressive marketing and sale.

 Step 3: Normalization - defined target market, cash flows are still challenging, best practices and methodologies defined and practiced.

 Step 4: Affluence - solid, consistent business model, building staff, position of power in the marketplace, economizing.

 Step 5: Freedom – investing in growth, market domination, seeking strategic partnerships or acquisitions, possible owner exit strategy, focus on leadership development and turning over the day-to-day operations.

 This presentation will allow a business Owner to determine where they are on their own path to business freedom as each step is reviewed.
