Community Calendar

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is hosting its 24th Annual Community Food Drive from November 1-16^th.  Everyone is invited to bring donations of non-perishable food, cash, and grocery store gift cards to any of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s 15 branches from Lubec to Topsham.  These gifts will be used to help stock the shelves of local food pantries.

In addition to accepting donations at its branches, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is also hosting live radio broadcasts at four area grocery stores in partnership with Classic Hits I-95.  You can drop off donations at these stores between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the following dates: Bar Harbor Hannaford on Friday, November 2; Ellsworth Shaw’s on Friday, November 9; Tradewinds Marketplace in Blue Hill on Thursday, November 15; and Bayside Supermarket in Milbridge on Friday, November 16. 

For more than two decades, the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Community Food Drive has been helping those in our community who have a hard time making ends meet.  Local food pantries that will receive these donations include: Bar Harbor Food Pantry, Westside Food Pantry, Emmaus Center, Loaves and Fishes, Tree of Life, Maine Sea Coast Mission Food Pantry at Weald Bethel, Island Pantry, Thomaston Interfaith Fellowship Food Pantry, Lifeline Food Pantry, Machias Food Pantry, China Community Food Pantry, Augusta Food Bank, Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention Program and Whiting Food Pantry.

For Bar Harbor Bank & Trust customers who have a checking account, a debit card and donate to the food drive, they are eligible to receive 125 bonus Harbor Points, by presenting a coupon with this offer when making their donation.  Coupons are available at BHBT.com and the branch.  This is our way of saying, “Thank you for your generosity.”  Harbor Points is Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s reward program that awards points for using a Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Visa^® debit card for signature-based purchases.
