Charity 5K Run-Walk for Autism on USATF certified course (ME09002RF). Race starts and finishes at the Masonic Lodge, 65 Baribeau Drive in Brunswick. Registration opens at 8 a.m.; race starts at 9 a.m. Adult (18+) registration fee is $20, youth (8-17) $10, and children 7 and under are free. Register at www.active.com or call (207) 878-9663, x 4120. The first 200 registrants receive a race T-shirt. Dog, family and stroller friendly. Face painting and bounce house from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges. Prizes awarded for the top male and female finishers. Sponsorship opportunities available. Proceeds from the race will be used to bring more technology into the classrooms of Woodfords' Oakland, Topsham and Westbrook Preschools to help children with autism and related developmental disabilities communicate and learn.
