The Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber  cordially invites you to attend The Young Entrepreneaurs Academy Investor Panel Presentation. The event takes place Tuesday, April 1, 2014, 6 – 8 p.m. in the second floor auditorium of Southern New Hampshire University, 10 Tibbetts Dr., Brunswick. Some of you are parents and friends of our students. Some of you are supporters of YEA!,or have provided information to help the students learn what they need to start a  successful business.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is for middle and high school students and focusses on the broad definition of entrepreneurship – the transformaton of an idea into an enterprise that creates value. Our young entrepreneurs have committed to a minimum of three hours per week of class time since October and  have crafted their business plans with the assistance of their mentors and experts in a variety of fields, including law, accounting, banking, and insurance. They are now at the point where they need to work on launching their business and that requires funding. Hence, they will present their business plans before our Investor Panel and request funding.

The evening will begin with a short meet and greet reception. The meet and greet will be followed by our YEA! students, representing four businesses,  presenting their business ideas in the hopes of receiving funding. The Investor Panel will deliberate on their awards while the rest of us enjoy light refreshments!
