Brunswick’s June Art Walk Venues Explode


Brunswick’s June Art Walk promises to be a multiplicity of events to delight your senses! Watch an art installation in process, delight your ears with song, purchase a soulful painting, visit artisans at the Brunswick Inn, and relax on the free bus running between all venues. Much is in store for Friday, June 13th from 5-8PM; come support your local artists.

Visual artists hanging their work at St Paul's Church on Pleasant Street will explode from six to approximately 15. Working in photography, acrylics, printmaking, watercolors, oils, textiles, and mixed media, these artists will be showing their works with many different subjects and styles.

Special theatre acts for June will include strolling singers from the Maine State Music Theatre. Known as the Brunswick to Broadway Bunch, the group will sing popular songs in tight harmony at various stops up and down Maine Street. Artistic Director, Curt Dale Clark, says “the next stop for these singers is Broadway, so we are thrilled to be able to share their talents with people attending the Art Walk”.


The Theatre Project Group, a dozen high school and professional actors, will draw the audience into skits and improvisational theatre games. Look for these artists around Curtis Library on Pleasant Street or at the Bank of America on Maine Street.

Nicholas Runco will be using large stones to create an art installation reminiscent of cairns one might use as directions while hiking a mountain trail. Come watch the work evolve at the corner of Maine and Mason streets.


June's art walk, like all the Brunswick art walks thru October, is sponsored by the Five Rivers Arts Alliance and takes place on the second Friday of each month from 5PM to 8PM. Free bus service is provided for art walk participants and makes round trips every 15 minutes. Look for the balloons and art walk flags designating the bus stops.
