“Palliative Care: getting the most out of your healthcare?" by Jessica Vickerson, FNP, MSW, Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, Mid Coast Hospital, will be held Monday, November 10, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Mid Coast Senior Health Center, 58 Baribeau Drive in Brunswick.
The presentation will address the role of Palliative Care in helping people obtain the highest quality of life while interfacing with the medical system. Palliative Care helps patients and their families manage the pain, symptoms, and stress of a serious illness, adding an extra layer of support for families and patients living with serious illness. This program will offer strategies, tools and resources for managing health, working with healthcare providers, and identifying healthcare goals and wishes.
