MTUG Webinar #6 - Mobile Device Management - A Panel Discussion 11:00 AM Online at http://mtug.webex.com , Statewide

The nonprofit Maine Technology Users Group is hosting a free online webinar Wednesday, March 9, from 11am to 12pm, featuring a panel of IT administration and mobility professionals who will discuss their organizations' approach to managing mobile devices for their respective internal staff and customers and the mobile device management market in general.

Panelists will include:
-- Dan Groves, Systems Analyst at Gorham Savings Bank;
-- Jeremy Koch, Technology Specialist at Foxcroft Academy; and
-- John Revy, AT&T Enterprise Mobility Manager.

The education sector in Maine was ahead of the curve in adopting one-to-one computing, but the tide has turned to highly mobile tablet based learning. The commercial sectors saw the rise of BYOD and demand to access company materials at any time from a phone in the executive's pocket. The challenges of operating secure, uniform, and cost-effective mobile fleets are common and the panel will discuss approaches to successful and maturing deployments.

MTUG board members Austin Brower of FairPoint Communications, Mike Begin of US Cellular, and Kevin Heatley of Gorham Savings Bank developed the panel of speakers, and will moderate discussion.
