Hospice of Southern Maine (HSM) will light up Deering Oaks Park on September, 24, at 6:30 p.m., at the annual Twilight in the Park event. This community fundraiser celebrates the lives of loved ones, friends and families that have passed away and honors people who presently bring meaning to our lives.

Every fall, thousands of luminaria, each representing a lost or remembered loved one, illuminates Portland’s Deering Oaks in a display of hope, celebration and remembrance.

Twilight in the Park is free and open to the public. Those wishing to dedicate a luminaria may do so online at www.hospiceofsouthernmaine.org/twilight, by phone (207) 289-3669, or on the day of the event. They are $10 each, and multiples may be ordered. Names on luminarias ordered by September 15th will appear in the program. Twilight in the Park raises awareness about Hospice of Southern Maine and educates the community about the importance of hospice services.
