A fall gathering with performances by two bands at the Freight Shed on October 7th will support KELT's work with water, fish, and wetlands.
The Kennebec Estuary Land Trust (KELT) is hosting a fall celebration and concert on October 7th at the Bath Freight Shed at 6:30pm. The KELT Concert on the Kennebec features local musician Nancy Sferra and Seattle alternative folk duo, Animals of Grace. Gather with KELT for music, snacks, and good company to support a worthy cause!
This is a family friendly event, appropriate for all ages. All proceeds from the show will benefit KELT’s programs for kids, students, families, and adults that support local water, wetlands, and fish. Some of these popular programs include volunteer water testing on the Kennebec River, green crab trapping with Bath Middle School students, the annual fish count at Nequasset Fish Ladder, and storm drain stenciling in downtown Bath.
Snacks for the event have been graciously donated by Hahn's End Cheese, Goranson Farm, and Bath Natural Market. The musicians performing for the KELT Concert on the Kennebec bring individual talents and original songs.
Nancy Sferra: A folk/blues songwriter from midcoast Maine accompanying original lyrics with guitar, steel guitar, and banjo. Her narrative songs focus on acts and objects that are part of the life of rural Maine.
Animals of Grace: An alternative folk duo from Seattle with 12 string guitar, cajon, lyric vocals, and intricate harmonies. Their songs feature the words of Maine poet Edna St. Vincent Millay set to music and original words of resiliency and connection to the land.
