Midcoast Lyme Disease Support & Education (MLDSE) is partnering with The Ticked Off Music Fest, Ridin’ Steel and Taste of Maine to combat Lyme disease in Midcoast Maine while by presenting the first annual MIDCOAST LYME AIDE. All of the proceeds will go to the Midcoast Lyme Aide Fund, established to provide financial assistance to those in need for testing of Lyme and tick-borne diseases in Maine.

The live event takes place on Saturday, May 6, 2017 as a benefit ride at noon with Ridin’ Steel that culminates in a benefit concert at 5 p.m. at Taste of Maine at 161 Main St, Woolwich, ME 04579. The concert will be a tribute to the memory of Bill Chinnock, one of the original members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, who succumbed to Lyme disease in 2007.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legend and original drummer of the E Street Band Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez will headline the event, along with his powerhouse band featuring legendary guitarist Jon Sebastian Brice, and NJ Blues Hall of Fame legends Paul Whistler and Gary Cavico. The concert will be emceed by WCSH6’s Sharon Rose Vaznis and will also feature Maine’s own Mallett Brothers Band and honky-tonk crooner Travis James Humphrey.
