December through February The Axe Pit will proudly be hosting our first ever Axe throwing competition. The competition will take place over the course of 12 weeks with competitors being required to compete for only 8 of those weeks in the regular season. The last week is reserved for the top 16 competitors of the season who will battle it out in a bracket style championship competition day.

How does it work?
The competition will be in similar style to regular WATL competitions but with an Axe Pit twist. In order to maintain a flexible schedule for our staff and competitors you will only be required to show up at the Axe Pit for 8 of the 12 weeks in the regular season. Each match that a competitor throws will consist of a total of 4 bouts of 5 throws, 20 throws in all. There is a one minute rest period between each bout of 5 throws. If multiple competitors are present they will throw in your rest period and you will throw in theirs, this is interest of fairness and time. Each competitor has one match that they are allowed to “mulligan”, it will not be counted and they can redo their match on a different week.
