A workshop on the sources, stories, and histories of Maine towns, with an emphasis on the instructor’s two books on Lovell and Topsham -- 'Lovewell's Town. Lovell, Maine, from Howling Wilderness to Vacationland in Trust' (2007) and Topsham, Maine: From the River to The Highlands (2015).
The class may wish to contribute from their own town histories and experiences.
Robert C. Williams is a retired historian. He received his B.A. in Mathematics from Wesleyan University, his A.M. in Russian Studies and Ph.D. in History from Harvard University, and an honorary doctorate from Wittenberg University.
