The weather is finally improving, we are itching to get outside, and PHC’s Annual Spring Clean-up is always a good time! Our museums open for the season in May, so we need to get the grounds and gardens of our headquarters, the Skolfield-Whittier House, and the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum looking their best. There’s a bit of raking, clearing leaves, some weeding, sweeping, and generally tidying up our beautiful buildings in preparation for the visitor season. But mostly we enjoy the conviviality and teamwork of a productive spring morning outside with friends. Won’t you consider joining us on Saturday morning, April 30 from 9:00-12:00? Whether you’re a new or interested volunteer, a current volunteer, or just someone who likes to meet new people or be around historic buildings, we’d love to have you along. As usual, donuts and hot beverages will be provided. We’re looking forward to this fun event and hope to see you there!
