Curtis Memorial Library is celebrating its 140^th year! Join us in the library's original 1904 Building, with registration upstairs on the Mezzanine level. Nibbles and Bar by Vessel & Vine and Jackass Annie. Door prizes include McCloskey gift bags and books; Curtis Library 140^th gift bags; Curtis Library/23 Pleasant Coffee Gift Bags, roasted just for the library by Wicked Joe Organic Coffee.  The evening is co-sponsored by Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop- our newest chamber member and a great supporter of the McCloskey exhibit.

While here, enjoy a self-guided tour of our exhibit of nearly 70 original illustrations by Robert McCloskey, from such beloved, Maine-based children's books as BLUEBERRIES FOR SAL, ONE MORNING IN MAINE, and MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS, among others.

Also, we just launched our new EV-Bookmobile -- expanding our outreach to underserved areas in Brunswick and Harpswell.  Meet Outreach Librarian/Bookmobile Driver Jamie and step inside for a tour of their 2023 Ford e-Transit, customized with bookshelves and carts, Wi-Fi, a retractable awning with cafe tables and chairs for pop-up programming, and more!
