Maine's First Ship workshop: Model Boat Building

Part 1 – Paper model

Part 1 is for younger children age 5 and above and an accompanying adult. Students will build three different model boats from card-stock paper – one boat during each session. Enrollment is limited to eight families.

The tuition for Part 1 is $50 for and adult and 1 child MFS members or $70 for non-member. The supplies for Part 1 are $20 per family.

2 days/2 models remain: June 15 and 22, 4-6pm

Part 2 — Wood model

Part 2 is for age 8 and above. Students will build a wooden boat model (Yankee Tender from Woodenboat Store). These sessions will involve edge tools. Enrollment is limited to eight families.

The tuition for Part 2 is $50 per person or for an adult and 1 child MFS member ($70 for non-member). Supplies for Part 2 are $25 for a toolkit, plus $60 for the model kit.
