Tickets are now on sale for the Great State of Maine Air Show 2012.  Featuring the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, the Great State of Maine Air Show will return to the skies over Brunswick Executive Airport August 24-26.

 “The Thunderbirds have not flown in Maine in over a decade,” states Steve Levesque, Executive Director of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA).  “We are excited to have these ‘Ambassadors in Blue’ back in Maine skies again.”

In addition to the Thunderbirds, the Air Show will feature many top national aerobatic acts and classic military legacy aircraft. The confirmed performers for this year’s show so far are:

• The Misty Blues – the world’s only all female parachute demonstration team
• Team Chaos – featuring the “Flash Fire” jet truck and high energy aerial demonstrations and Randy Harris from Bearfeat Aerobatics
• US Navy F/A-18 Demonstration Team

Other exciting internationally recognized high performance teams will be joining the lineup in the following months.

 Honoring those who serve, the Great State of Maine Air Show is a fun, family-friendly Maine tradition where performances will showcase thrilling aerial feats, vintage aircraft, and amazing aerobatics. This will be the Air Show’s second year as a civilian-produced event at Brunswick Executive Airport (former Naval Air Station Brunswick.)
