Greg Dugal is Executive Director of the Maine Innkeepers Association. The Maine Innkeepers Association represents over 500 lodging properties of all sizes and types across Maine. You'll hear about the trends he has seen in Maine's Inn and Restaurants over the past 30 years, what folks are predicting for our summer visits, and what State and Federal legislation is looming that could harm the Mid Coast's Hospitality Industry!    

The Association's mission is to improve, promote and protect the welfare of the lodging industry in Maine. The Association is proud to represent the state's lodging industry, which plays the pivotal role in the state's broader tourism industry. Tourism directly and indirectly generated $10 billion in sales and $429 million in tax revenues for Maine in 2006, according to research by Longwoods International conducted for the Maine Office of Tourism.

The industry accounts for 139,700 jobs, more than one out of every 6 jobs in Maine. The industry has experienced sales growth every single year for the past 20 except for 2009.
