I want to invite you, and your Chamber of Commerce members, to a very special federal government program on small business regulations, to be held on Thursday, June 23, from 9AM to 11AM.
This program, the US Small Business Administration Regulatory Fairness Roundtable Forum, for small businesses and small business trade organizations, will be held at Hannaford Lecture Hall (Room 109), at the University of New England, 716 Stevens Avenue, Portland, Maine.
You are encouraged to contact small business owners in your organization, who would like to discuss concerns about being unfairly fined or penalized by a Federal agency, or where enforcement action might be imminent. Companies interested in hearing more about general regulatory issues will also find this helpful.
National Ombudsman Esther Vassar will be in attendance to address these concerns and what steps can be taken by the SBA's Washington, D.C. offices against repetitive
audits and investigations, excessive fines, penalties or other unfair regulatory enforcement actions.
Attendance is free. For more information, please e-mail Bernard Featherman, Chair-Region 1, US Small Business Administration Regulatory Fairness Board.
