POSTPONED Engaging Your Multi-Generational Workforce - Small Business Success Seminar 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Topsham Public LIbrary, 25 Foreside Rd. , Topsham, Maine

The Chamber regrets but will have to POSTPONE this seminar until next year.

For the 1st time in history, four distinct and very different generations are working together.  To be able to survive and thrive in tomorrow's business environment, successful organizations need to manage, engage and retain the knowledge and talent they have within all generations by leveraging the values and work styles of each.

During any generation, the media bombards children with compelling messages.  Educational systems, parenting patterns, and the unique circumstances of life all shape and mold the children of a given era.  Other diverse issues also effect the development of attitudes, values, and behaviors such as race, socio-economic status, ethnic background, family configuration, and regional differences.  Some are impacted by more than one generational influence such as those on the cusp between generation.  However each generation has a mood or tone that pervades the developing perspectives of its age group.

Led by Susan Stacey of Manpower, this seminar will provide insight on the talents and values of each generation, as well as pitfalls to avoid as they work together.  Join us to learn how to engage your multi-generational work force!
