Join us for a walking tour with Earle Shettleworth, Maine State historian and director of the Maine Historic Preservation Commission, who shares his architectural history expertise. Dan Stevens, house tour guide, regales us with tales of heroes, rogues, and damsels in distress on a walk from Castle Tucker to Nickels-Sortwell House. The walk is followed by refreshments in the Nickels-Sortwell House solarium. Price includes a tour of both houses, which can be taken any time. Anyone interested in touring one or both of the houses prior to the walking tour should take a house tour before 1:00 p.m. Space is limited. Admission is $25 Historic New England members, $30 nonmembers. This special walking tour will benefit Historic New England's Preservation Maintenance Fund. Advance registration is required.
