 Gardens welcomes the new year with new dinners by top chefs

One of the most popular offerings at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is the Kitchen Garden Dinner Series; and fortunately for those who are in Maine in the winter, the monthly dinners continue all year long.  What better way to combat the winter doldrums than with a delectable, multi-course meal prepared by a talented chef and served in a warm and welcoming setting?

With its curved wall of windows overlooking gardens that are lovely no matter what the season, the Kitchen Garden Café is a perfect spot to enjoy these meals. Staff members and volunteers serve each course and pour the wine liberally. The tables are dressed for the occasion, and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting, whether for a couple or a party of six or more.

Wednesday, April 11, the dinner will be prepared by Chef Christopher Anderson of Wings Hill in Belgrade Lakes. For a complete list of past dinners and of upcoming dinners as they’re added to the schedule, as well as more information about the Gardens, visit www.MaineGardens.org.

Kitchen Garden Series Dinners begin at 6 p.m. The price of $75 for Gardens members and $90 for non-members includes wine, as well as gratuities. For reservations, call (207) 633-4333, ext.101. Because these dinners almost always sell out, no matter what the season, early sign-up is recommended.  Coastal Maine Botanical gardens is located off Barters Island Road in Boothbay.
