The Southern Maine Pet Expo will be April 21-22, 2012 at the Sanford Armory in Sanford. 70-80 Exhibits plus Activities, Demos, Workshops & Hourly Door Prizes! We are now actively accepting applications for exhibitors (pet product retailers, animal rescue leagues, photographers, farms, animal trainers, clubs & organizations, animal whisperers, you name it!)... for workshops & events (there will be 2 per hour each day in separate classrooms)... and for the designated non-profit for the event (RFP application form is available). You and your family will have a great time, with different activities and events both days! ... Lake Region Caterers will serve yummy foods all day, both days (their website is http://www.lakeregioncaterers.com/buffetslobsterbbqs.html), ... Door Prizes every hour, approximately on the hour ...a Doggie Dress Up Contest with a parade around the Main Hall on Saturday ...a Kittie Dress Up Contest and parade on Sunday ... for the kids who can't have pets for some reason, we'll have a stuffed animal contest ... there will be an animal sounds contest... do you think we should have one for adults AND kids, or just for the kids? ... we're finalizing details on some great canine agility demonstrations ... dachshund races! Exhibitors will have demonstrations at their booths, and many will have giveaways, too. And of course, the show will feature Foot Stompin’ Oldies Sing-Along Musical Entertainment by ♫ The Old Pirates ♫ band from 12:30-4:30 both days. The Pixel Fund is the Designated Non-Profit for this event! We're sad to say that our website is waaaay outdated, although we hope to get that fixed soon. Workshop or Activity Proposal Form If you want to support your local animal-focused non-profit, we have LOTS of ways you can be involved: ... volunteer at the show, and we will donate $10 for every approved hour to the animal focused organization of your choosing (watch for info on volunteer training dates) ... help us sell tickets, and your favorite animal focused non-profit will receive $1 for every adult or child ticket you sell, and $2 for every Family pass! ... tell your favorite animal non-profit about our Designated Non-Profit Status; encourage them to apply for one of our 7 others in Maine this year!
