The fundamentals of accounting and financial reports are often elusive to many small business owners and managers. And yet an understanding of how financial reports are developed, what they mean and how they can be used to imrpove business results is critical to small business success.

In this three part series, Maine Small Business Development Center Certified Master Business Counselor, Bradshaw Swanson, will explain the basics of accounting and how financial reports are generated, what they mean and how they can be used to understand where you've been and project where you want to go, financially, in your small business.

In the final workshop of the series, participants will bore down deeper into what they have learned to analyze real world business situations and project financial outcomes. new financial management tools such as common sizing and break even analysis will be introduced to enhance participants' ability to manage their financial decisions.
