CREA to feature Maine Black Bear Scientist at Topsham Library On April 30th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Topsham Public Library, Cathance River Education Alliance and the Topsham Public Library will feature Wildlife Ecologist John Wood, who will describe his research and close encounters with our Maine Black Bear. John works with Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife on “The Bear Crew”, charged with species management and collecting data on the health and survival of our Maine Black Bear populations. The Crew’s important research work with bear is dangerous, although inspirational and outstanding. Programs are FREE, family friendly, and open to the public. They are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 6:30- 8:00. All interested members of the public are invited to attend.
