9th Annual Tour de Merrymeeting Bay - Bike Tour

Saturday, August 13, beginning at 7:00 am, Foreside Recreation Fields, Topsham

Join us for the 9th Annual Tour De Merrymeeting Bay with 25 and 50 Mile Rides. Both rides include lunch! Proceeds will benefit the Head of Tide Park in Topsham. Join us for one of two great rides! Sponsored by the Brunswick and Topsham Rotary CLubs.

50 mile Ride: 7 am registration /8 am start; A fully supported loop ride around the lower reaches of the Androscoggin and Kennebec Rivers and Merrymeeting Bay. Good pavement, some rolling hills and outstanding scenery with river and bay vistas, farmland, forest, streams and picturesque Maine Villages.

25 mile Ride: 9 am registration /10 am start; A fully supported ride for cycling and novice cyclers, looking for a shorter, but still scenic loop. Great for families. This route tracks the start of the longer ride along the Androscoggin River and the shores of Merrymeeting Bay and Kennebec River in Bowdoinham, then returns to Topsham.

Both races start and finish at Topsham's Foreside Recreation Fields and are fully supported -- maps and route descriptions; road marking and signs; rest stops with snacks, drinks and toilet facilities; SAG vehicles; motorcycle marshals; bike shop mechanical support; EMT's.
