Midcoast Youth Center and Springer’s Jewelers Presents “A Love Song Scramble” Fundraiser

Springer’s Generously Supports Our Midcoast Youth

BATH—Midcoast Youth Center is excited to announce a contest and fundraiser sure to brighten these winter days.

Springer’s Jewelers in Bath is making a very generous donation — a “Hearts of Fire” necklace valued at $2500 — as the prize. Participants making a $25 donation to Midcoast Youth Center are automatically entered to win this beautiful piece of jewelry. Each registrant then receives a link to unscramble the titles of 25 well-known love songs. Fans of word games — unite!

“I love a good puzzle, and combining a fun activity with the chance to win a really special prize — just in time for Valentine’s Day — seemed like a great idea,” said Maury Bohan, a co-chair of the MYC Events Committee. “Winter can get so dreary, we wanted this fundraiser to offer some sunshine. ”

The Hearts on Fire Optima Station Necklace is a truly classic piece. Understated while still eye-catching, with subtle diamonds spaced throughout the chain, this 18k white gold necklace is a favorite at the Springer’s store in Bath. It can be worn long and draped, or wrapped several times, offering several options for styling.

“We are deeply grateful to Springer’s for such a generous donation,” Bohan said.

"This community supports our business, and it is our strong belief that we owe something back to that community," said Lilly Mullen, president of Springer’s Jewelers.  "We think it's critical to support local organizations like Midcoast Youth Center, and we pride ourselves on the relationships we maintain with those organizations and community leaders. We're just giving back to a place we call home."

Springer's Bath location in the historic downtown dates back to 1879, and was originally was called A.G. Page Co. This treasure of the mid-coast appears today as it did in the 1870's with its original storefront, mahogany cabinets installed by the Page family, a 14-foot high ceiling, a checkerboard marble floor, and classic hanging brass lamps over the floor cases.

Springer’s Jewelers is a coastal New England, family-owned chain of jewelry stores that provides high quality fine jewelry to thousands of New England patrons and visitors. Since 1870, Springer’s Jewelers has helped their clientele celebrate life’s most important moments. Springer's is Maine’s oldest operating jewelry store, and is one of the oldest fine jewelers in the United States.
