Bath Savings Institution 2015 Annual Meeting Celebrates Community Involvement,
Elects New Corporators and Honors Lois Skillings

Bath, Maine (April 21, 2015) –  Bath Savings Institution held its 2015 annual meeting, celebrating 163 years in operation and the bank’s longstanding commitment to community involvement.

President & CEO Glenn L. Hutchinson noted the bank’s strong performance, both financial – and in the community. Citing the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), he said Bath Savings has maintained an “Outstanding” rating from the FDIC for the past 10 years for its commitment to meet the financial needs of the communities it serves. Fewer than 10% of banks nationwide enjoy that status. Hutchinson praised CRA Officer, Senior Vice President John C. Marsh, Jr., for his strong leadership in community investment.

Chairman of the Board Brian M. Perkins noted community accolades the bank has received during the past year, including being named one of the “Best Places to Work in Maine” by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Each year the bank recognizes a corporator for community giving and support of Bath Savings Institution. Lois N. Skillings, President & CEO of Mid Coast Health Services, was named 2015 Distinguished Corporator of the Year. A Bath Savings corporator since 2010, she has also held significant leadership positions at the United Way of Mid Coast Maine and American Red Cross, as well as serving as this year’s Chair of the Maine Chapter of American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign.

Sixty-six corporators were elected for the coming year including new corporators James P. Boulette, Robert N. Garver, Sara I. Gideon, Jane Irish, Edward Sewall III, Lisa Marie Stewart, and Hylie A. West.

Elected as trustees for the ensuing year were: Oliver Andrews III, Kevin T. Burns, Glenn L. Hutchinson, Esther M. Pappas, Brian M. Perkins, William T. Racine, Sandra Morrell Rooney and John W. Voorhees.

“Commitment to community runs through every aspect of Bath Savings, from our dedicated staff, corporators and trustees, to the products and services we provide,” says President Hutchinson. “Financial solutions are here to support every member of our community – and so are we.”
