Maine Education
Services Offers New $2,000 Scholarship Opportunity to Maine High School Students

Maine Education Services (MES) has announced a new
scholarship opportunity for Maine high school students. The MES CRAVE Student
Blogger Scholarship will award $2,000 to two Maine high school students, one
junior and one senior.

To apply, students must submit a sample blog post of 300-500 words describing
their biggest worries, concerns and challenges regarding college. These sample
blog posts will be reviewed and evaluated and two winners will be chosen.

Scholarship winners will be required to submit a minimum of six blog posts, one
at least every other month throughout the 2013-2014 school year, starting in
October 2013. The student blogs, which must focus on the college search,
college decisions, financing, or other related topics, will be posted on the
MES CRAVE website.

The application deadline is September 16th. Complete details for applying can
be found on the MES website at www.mesfoundation.org.
Scholarship winners will be announced by September 30th.
