Do you know a Hometown Hero who would love to fly with the Thunderbirds? MRRA has teamed with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds to host the flight of a Hometown Hero at the 2012 Great State of Maine Air Show, August 24-26.
This orientation flight was designed by the Thunderbirds to recognize local citizens whose contributions have made a difference in their community. Upon Air Force approval and aircraft availability, the Hometown Hero will have the opportunity to fly during a pre-show practice flight in a Thunderbird F-16 Fighting Falcon.
Heroes might include, but are not limited to: a community volunteer; a citizen who heroically saved a life; a local firefighter, paramedic, or police officer; a valued teacher; or a renowned community mentor.
