PFBF CPAs: Our Team is Growing!

Our newest additions:

GEORGE WOODS. Chief Operating Officer

A graduate from the University of Maine at Orono, with a BS in Business Administration, George began his career in public accounting before moving into the private accounting arena. He spent a majority of his career in executive level financial positions in Maine; he served primarily as Controller and Assistant Treasurer at a textile manufacturing company and wholesale beverage distribution company. He also played an integral role as a CEO of a Maine YMCA, help turning their operation around.

He has served on numerous boards in the past, including the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Piscataquis YMCA.

George has passion for his chosen career path. "Accounting is a language of business. I enjoy translating that language for decision makers, providing them the information and guidance they need to operate their entities successfully, and being a part of that team's success."

He lives in Farmingdale with his wife of 30 years and has three successful children, Kristi, Jessica, and Michael.

JENNIFER HIGHT, CPA, Senior Manager

Jennifer, a native of Madison, joins the team at PFBF CPAs as a Senior Manager and will provide clients and businesses with quality tax planning and preparation. Before PFBF CPAs, she spent 20 years working in public accounting for a Maine based CPA firm.

She has previously volunteered her time as a board member of the United of Mid-Maine, was a member of a local Rotary Club. She has also been a member the Maine Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

She views accounting as a fun challenge. "I have always loved puzzles! It's exciting for me to see all the pieces come together to a finished project."

Jennifer resides in Madison with her husband and three brilliant children.

ELAINE LAFAIVRE, Tax Professional

After 25 years in sales and marketing of industrial and environmental controls, Elaine moved to Maine for a quieter life. In addition to owning a campground, she gained valuable experience working in public accounting for 10 years. She joins PFBF CPAs as a tax professional, preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses.

One of her biggest accomplishments, was leading a small woman owned company to NO. 1 sales in the United States!

Elaine lives in Newport with her wonderful husband.
