Running Start Program Returns to Bowdoin College 

 

Brunswick, Maine – Mid Coast Hospital’s Community Health and Wellness department is pleased to announce the Running Start program at Bowdoin College has returned. 

Led by Clinical Exercise Physiologists, the supervised fitness program has two parts. The track program incorporates proper warm-up techniques, stretching, calisthenics and aerobic exercises tailored to individual needs. The pool program offers shallow water aerobics and/or lap swimming.   

Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays. The track program runs from 8 to 9 a.m., while the pool program goes from 9 to 10 a.m.   

 Running Start, which debuted more than 40 years ago, is open to the public. Each participant must complete a medical clearance form. Cost for the track program is $40 a month, while the pool program costs $45 a month.   

Please call Contact Mid Coast Hospital’s Community Health and Wellness at 373-6585 to receive the appropriate paperwork and to arrange payment. Pay-per-class and cash payments are no longer allowed.
